On 24 March, 19 and 29 May 2017, three meetings were organized to inform TenneTs’ suppliers about the Safety Culture Ladder. Additional meetings for German suppliers had taken place on 23 and 24 May 2017.
TenneT uses the Safety Culture Ladder (SCL) as a tool to increase safety awareness and enhance safety culture. Their goal is to join with their suppliers in improving the safety culture awareness throughout its entire chain (Contractor Management).
During the meetings, suppliers were informed about the different aspects of the Safety Culture Ladder and the possibilities for certification. Besides the Safety Culture Ladder-certification, TenneT stimulates suppliers to acquire and fill out the Self-Assessment Questionnaire (SAQ) and/or to execute a Reference Audit (SAQ+). More information about the TenneT pilot is available on our website.
Over the coming months, more meetings will be organized by TenneT. The next meeting in The Netherlands is due to be held on 16 June 2017 in Arnhem. The next meetings in Germany are due to be held on 22, 29 and 30 June in Würzburg and on 6 and 7 July 2017 in the Ruhr area.
